Some of the Guys

Happy Australia Day 2010!

Our club had a wonderful day putting on a demonstration for the Australia day crowds at Parramatta Park today. After a few false starts our awesome SES volunteers roped off a nice big area for us to fly in. There were a few thrills and spills with the odd tree jumping out and catching planes! We’d like to thank all the club members who hiked or drove in with planes for static & flying displays and kept the huge crowds entertained & informed, The SES volunteers for helping with crowd control and Parramatta Council for organising the day. Stay tuned over the next few days while we get the photos and videos uploaded!

Too all our visitors wanting to come down to the field and see us really push our planes around and maybe find out a bit more info about getting into this great hobby, Have a look in this forum thread here (Skip to the last page) to see when we’ll be flying next.

Happy Australia Day!

2009 Annual General Meeting

The PRCAC 2009 AGM was held in late September, despite the windy weather (Too windy to fly!!) we had a great turnout with more than 50% of our members in attendance.

We’d like to thank all of our outgoing committee members who helped build the club into the great organization that we have today. Congratulations to the following members on being voted unanimously into their new positions:

President: Darren Wilson
Vice President: Paul Johnston
Secretary: John Considine
Treasurer: Kieran Vella
General Committee: Chris Maddox, Victor Florida, Ingo Golab

Items of discussion were the planning of a possible Open Electric Fly In later in the year.

Heres to a great summer season of flying!

Now for a change of Pace!

A few members of our club also fly RC Turbine Jets, These babies are the real deal! Looking, Sounding, Smelling and Flying like the real thing! Some pictures have been added to our Event Reports & Gallery section. Check em out!

A Few Updates Around the Place

The field has been a bit on the soggy side for the last few weeks which has limited flying but allowed me to do some much needed catchup on the site!
There literally hasn’t been a post for months because we’ve been having too much fun with many new guests & members visiting every week.
The most significant is the addition of a forum for everyone to post in. Click on the Forums link to take you there and register.

Here are some photo’s of a busy day’s flying taken a few weeks back, I’m trying out a new gallery viewer that’s pretty nifty! Just use your mouse or the arrow keys to move around:

(Another!) Great Day Flying

Our Australia Day display worked wonders for promotion of the club, we’ve had non stop visitors for the last few weeks and a few new members (Welcome Rob & Ingo!) with a few  more on the way.

Today was stinkin hot down at the field but pretty calm wind wise. The shade tents took off some of ‘burn’ from the sun and were welcomed by all!

Here are a few pics from today:
